Sony Corp has sold a total of six million PlayStation 4 game consoles till March 2. After releasing its PlayStation 4, Sony had set a target of selling five million units by the end of March. But its sales reached a milestone by the sale of six million units.
As reported on GAMESPOT, about 13.7 million games have been sold on PlayStation 4, including 2.1 million sales for Kilzone: Shadow Fall. PS4 owners have even signed up for PlayStation Plus, which might just generate revenue for Sony as well. PS4 has also been used for more than 3.6 million Twitch and Ustream broadcasts.
"The responses we have received for the PS4 system's integrated social capabilities, have been phenomenal. I couldn't be more thrilled that gamers are utilising these unique features to engage, share, play and connect with users around the world," concluded Andrew House, President of Sony Computer Entertainment.
