President's rule a blot on democracy: Chandrababu Naidu

"Congress never provided a stable government in the states ruled by it,": Naidu.

Hyderabad: Leaders of Opposition parties commented that imposition of President rule in the state was unfortunate.
Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu described it as a blot on democracy. “The Congress believed the TRS and the YSRC and fell into its own pit. The Congress never provided a stable government in the states ruled by it. After the Congress came to power in Andhra Pradesh, the state was filled with corruption, irregularities and mismanageme-nt,” he said.

YSR Congress senior leader M.V. Mysoora Reddy described the President’s Rule in the state as unfortunate. He said the Congress was running away from its responsibilities and could not form a government, which shows it is on the verge of extinction in the state and the country as well. He said that the people of the state had voted Congress to power in the hope that it would provide stability, but the party has given up hope of forming the government and thus has recommended President’s Rule.

TD legislator R. Chandrasekhar Reddy said that in the present situation there was no alternative to President’s Rule. He demanded that the Congress explain why it has taken this much time to impose President’s Rule.
