M Karunanidhi describes Narendra Modi as a good friend

Chennai:DMK president M. Karunanidhi has described BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi as a “hardworker” and a “good friend”, remarks seen as signals to the BJP ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
Mr Karunanidhi’s response came in an interview to a Tamil daily, in which the 90-year-old DMK patriarch refrained from commenting on a possible tie-up with the BJP. “The hectic election campaign by Mr Modi shows he is a hardworker. He is also a good friend of mine,” he said.
