End 'central' rule, trust states: Modi
New Delhi: BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said that the fashion of running the nation from the national capital must stop, during a meet with the All India Traders Association in Delhi on Thursday.
Addressed the convention, which is being attended by leading industrialists and political leaders, he said the focus will be on trade once in power.
In an attempt to boost online trade, Modi specified that the need to concentrate on economic development. “Who goes to stores to buy books anymore? Everyone goes online. We have to boost online trade not cut it,” Modi said, adding, "Retailers must think of online retail as an opportunity."
“We don't need not be afraid of global challenges in trade. We should take this as an opportunity,” said Modi.
Modi in his address, also urged the bankers and investors to vote for BJP in the upcoming LS polls. “Give us power so that we can eliminate insignificant laws,” he said.
The BJP central election committee will meet on Thursday evening in Delhi, to discuss its strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
