TRS leader burgled

Undie clad dacoits tied up victims, snatched mobiles

Hyderabad: Dacoits struck at the house of a local TRS politician, P. Narasimha Goud, 34, at Peddamberpet early on Wednesday morning.

The offenders broke into the house wearing undergarments, masks and gloves. They were carrying sticks. Threatening the family, they took away 1.40 lakh in cash and gold ornaments weighing 40 gm. The victim told the police that the dacoits, numbering four or five, also snatched their mobile phones while robbing the house.

Mr Narasimha, his wife and three children were asleep in their Ragavendra Colony residence when the robbers broke in after 1.30 am. "They broke the front door lock with just one blow using a boulder. They switched off the light in the main hall and tied our hands with cloths before taking our money and jewellery," said Mr Narasimha in his complaint. The robbers, however, did not hurt anybody as the house owner co-operated.

Hayatnagar sub inspector of Police P. Murali Krishna said, "The offenders were speaking in Telugu. The house owner could not see them properly as they had switched off the light and moved around the house with the help of torch light. But he confirmed that they were wearing only underwear. "
