Gabbar Singh star Shruti Haasan was recently in the city to help build a playground at a P&G Shiksha-supported Zilla Parishad High School in Gomaram village, Medak district. The actress laid the foundation stone for the playground, six toilets for female students, and also helped set up the volleyball nets. Shruti expressed her joy by pointing out, “I am delighted to be part of a movement focused on building and supporting schools across the country. I firmly believe that education is the basic right of every child, so it’s heartening to see P&G Shiksha facilitating education and providing a better standard of living for underprivileged children while helping realise their dreams.”
“Playgrounds are integral to holistic development, and I remember spending a considerable amount of my school days playing sports. I’m glad to be here today, to ensure that these children have the opportunity to learn through games. I feel proud to be associated with such a noble cause. Not only have I discovered a sports teacher in myself today, but I’m also overwhelmed with the experience of laying the foundation for a playground for these kids,” she added.
