Andhra Pradesh likely to get a new Chief Minister soon

After the resignation of Kiran Reddy, over the formation of Telengana, Congress high court is considering Chiranjeevi for the top post

Hyderabad: The final decision on formation of a new government in the state will be taken on Wednesday. After a meeting, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh told media that discussions are going on to select a new Chief Minister. The announcement came following a meeting of AICC leaders with Seemandhra Union and state ministers on Tuesday. According to sources, the new Chief Minister could be from the Kapu community. The high command is considering the names of Union minister K. Chiranjeevi, PCC president Botsa Satya Narayana and minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana. Mr Chiranjeevi met Mr Singh separately, and said he was ready to take any assignment given to him by the high command.
