With the start of the Major League Soccer season just a few days away, Robbie Keane appears to be hitting top form at just the right time. The Los Angeles Galaxy striker scored a delightful 40-yard chip in a pre-season friendly against the second string — and he celebrated with a trip to the basketball. Keane, 33, was spotted courtside with wife Claudine at the LA Lakers vs Brooklyn Nets NBA match.
The Republic of Ireland striker scored twice and set up another during the 3-0 win for the first team against LA Galaxy II as they warm-up for their season opener against Real Salt Lake. The former Leeds United, Tottenham and Liverpool striker has scored 47 goals in 79 appearances for the Galaxy across all competitions since moving to California in 2011. He will once again lead the line for the Galaxy in the forthcoming MLS season, which starts early next month. Keane won the title in 2011 and 2012.
