Siddu’s two ministers in Congress Lok Sabha candidates list

The hint that there were ministers in the candidates’ list came from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Mysore: Two ministers in the Siddaramaiah cabinet are being considered for the Lok Sabha elections? Who are they? This will be known only in March first week when the ruling Congress party’s first list of candidates for the polls is likely to be announced.

The hint that there were ministers in the candidates’ list came from none other than Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Speaking to reporters at Lalith Mahal helipad here, Mr Siddaramaiah said: “Two ministers in my cabinet are being considered. The final decision will be taken by the Congress high command”. He refused to divulge any details including the names of the ministers.

The chief minister clarified on the Karnataka Lokpal Bill and said his government was working on a Bill similar to the one passed by Parliament last December.

However, the bill will not be presented in the current session of the state legislature, he said. Referring to the water and power shortage with summer fast approaching, the CM said 7 hours of three-phase power will be supplied to irrigation pumpsets in rural areas.

He clarified that he had not received any letter from former minister and BJP leader S.A. Ramdas demanding a high level inquiry into the allegations made by a widow, Premakumari, that Ramdas had sexually exploited her.
