Shinde talks of a new CM for state

Hyderabad: The Congress’ Central leadership is expected to turn its attention to the matter of the state’s leadership on Monday. It has to decide whether to allow President’s Rule in the state in the wake of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s resignation, or install another CM till elections are held.
In the report sent by AP Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to the Union home ministry, the Governor has expressed his opinion that there is no possibility of a new government being formed.
Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde said in Delhi on Sunday that the “Congress leadership will take a decision on finding an alternative government as it enjoys majority in the House. This is a party affair. The government will consider the developments and come to a decision soon.”
Replying to a question about the new state, Mr Shinde said, “There are lots of things that happen between the President’s assent to the Telangana Bill, and fixing the appointed day from when the new state starts functioning. It will all take a minimum of three months.”
PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana was in Delhi on Sunday evening to meet Congress leaders. He has gone on record to state that the state Congress is in favour of forming a new ministry till the elections are held to allow the political administration to continue, instead of imposing President’s Rule.
