Modi dares China over aggression
BJP's PM Candidate Modi slams China over its expansionist policy when the world is moving towards development.
Guwahati: BJP Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that China should give up its “expansionist” mindset while asserting that no power in the world can dare to snatch even an inch of Arunachal Pradesh from India.
Addressing his first public meeting at Pasighat in the frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh, Modi said, “China should give up its expansionist policy because the world of today does not accept it. The entire world is moving towards development.”
Modi also lauded the people of the frontier state for standing up against the Chinese aggression of 1962. “During the war, the people of Arunachal didn’t come under pressure from China, and the call of ‘Jai Hind’ reverberates in this land,” the Gujarat CM said, wearing the traditional attire of Arunachal Pradesh.
Referring to the January 29 death of Arunachal youth Nido Tania in Delhi, Modi cautioned the UPA government against underestimating the people of the state and said that it was the duty of the entire nation to protect people facing attacks in various parts of the country.
