Akhilesh presents UP's Interim Budget of over Rs 2.59 lakh crore
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday tabled an Interim Budget of Rs 2,59,848.68 crore for 2014-15 fiscal with an estimated deficit of Rs 5,181.71 crore.
Presenting the Interim Budget in the House, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who also holds the finance portfolio, said against the estimated expenditure of Rs 2,59,848.68 crore in the next fiscal receipts of Rs 2,56,666.97 were expected, which would leave a deficit of Rs 5,181.71 crore.
He said taking into account receipts of Rs 4,130 crore from the public account and opening balance of Rs 3,066.62 crore, a saving of Rs 2,014.91 crore in closing balance was estimated.
The CM said the estimate of actual savings for the 2014-15 fiscal would be available inly after the finalisation of the complete Budget.
The CM said that an estimated expenditure Rs 88,623.85 crore has been made on the planned side, whereas Rs 1,71,224.83 on the non-planned side.
He said that the expected receipts, include Rs 2,15,846.7 crore from revenue receipts and 38,820.27 as capital receipts. Meanwhile, the House passed a vote-on-account of Rs 80,086.46 crore for the first four months by voice vote.
