Lucknow: Love is in the air and everyone knows it but even for everyone, this love story is way beyond imagination.
The cops at the SSP office in Meerut district were shocked out of their wits when a boy, student of class 10, walked in with 50-year-old woman and claimed that both of them were in love with each other.
He claimed that his family members were opposed to their alliance and would physically harm them. The boy demanded security from the police for himself and the woman.
The boy’s family members, meanwhile, stationed themselves outside the SSP office and beta up the woman when she was on her way back.
According to police reports, the boy is a resident of Bhagwatpura locality in Meerut and has been studying in a school in Delhi since the past six months.
He used to study in Meerut where he met and fell in love with a 50-year-old woman who, incidentally, is a mother of eight children. The woman also reciprocated his love and the couple is now determined to marry each other, defying their respective families.
The police, sources said, tried to make the boy see reason but he claimed he was already 17 years old and would wait for some more months till he turned 18 and would then be eligible to marry the woman he loves.
