South Africa not distracted by ICC revamp saga, insists team manager Moosajee

Mohamed Moosajee says South Africa won't be disturbed by row with ICC.

Johannesburg: The South African cricket team will not allow the current boardroom politics at the ICC to disrupt their preparations for the coming tour by Australia, team manager Mohamed Moosajee has asserted.

Australia will play three Tests and three T20 games starting February 12.

Moosajee was commenting on a statement by Cricket South Africa (CSA), disputing a claim by the ICC that there had been unanimity in proposed changes in the structure of the international body.

CSA was the first body, later joined by the Pakistan Cricket Board, to reject the ICC claim of unanimity over the proposals, which effectively hand over the world body's control to India, England and Australia.

"This is something that should not make us lose focus on the job at hand and we have full confidence that CSA officials will take decisions that are in the best interests of South African cricket," 'The New Age' quoted Moosajee as saying.

CSA said the matter is to be discussed with stakeholders locally first before a decision is conveyed to the ICC.
