Tanishq burglary: Kiran sent to judicial custody
Hyderabad: Tanishq burglary accused B. Kiran, who had confessed to his crime, was on Tuesday produced before local court and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
Officials said cops would seek custody of Kiran for further questioning in the case, if needed.
Meanwhile, a team of city cops continued its hunt for the absconding accused, Kiran’s cousin Anand.
Investigation sleuths have alerted all district police headquarters and other state police about Anand. A team rushed to Karnataka after receiving a tipoff that Anand had fled there.
Anand, a polio-afflicted person, entered the Tanishq showroom through a hole dug in the rear wall of the store.
Officials believe that Anand too might surrender.
The duo robbed the Tanishq showroom at Panjagutta on the midnight of January 24 and decamped with more than 15-kg gold and precious stones worth Rs 5.9 crore.
