Actress-politician Khushbu was in for a rude shock on Monday morning. She was driving her Audi Q5 and had stopped at a traffic signal in Chennai when an MTC bus crashed her car from behind. After angrily Tweeting about the episode, the appalled actress said that the boot, lights and bumper of the car had gone for a toss.
“I’m absolutely fine, and there are no injuries. But I’m obviously shocked at the rash driving of these bus drivers. They have absolutely no respect for lane rules, and the worst part is that the car wasn’t even moving!” she exclaims, distraught. “If a complaint is filed, their union defends them and the driver acts all apologetic, and relates sob stories about his family and future, and asks that we let it go. At such times, we are indeed left helpless.”
She also reveals that the car was special to her as it was a gift she had given her husband, director Sundar. C. “Thankfully, there are no physical injuries, which is the silver lining in an incident like this. But it has been a bad day,” she sighs.
