Every time late Yash Chopra or Aditya Chopra decided to direct a film, Shah Rukh Khan has been their inevitable choice. If the current buzz is anything to go by, that is soon to change.
According to sources, Adi has approached Ranveer Singh in the lead role for his next directorial venture. If the deal is sealed, then this would be the first time in almost two decades that SRK won’t star in a film directed by Aditya Chopra.
Currently in news for his upcoming nuptials with Rani Mukherjee, Adi is rumoured to take charge of his directorial film by the end of this year. “Right now Ranveer is the only contender for the film. It’s a love story that requires a young actor to essay the role. SRK and Aditya go back a long way and will continue to work together as and when they come across an appropriate script,” says our source.
Having bagged many prestigious films after the success of 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', Ranveer’s career is at an all-time high. He was launched by YRF, and acting in an Aditya Chopra film will be yet another feather in his cap. However, there has been no update about the actress who’ll be playing the leading lady in the film.
