In a major operation, the TN police had in OcÂtober 2013 arrested PanÂna Ismail and Bilal MaÂlik, two key suspects in the 2011 Advani bomb case and many other caÂses from Puttur. Speaking at the valedÂictory function of the 4th All India Police ComÂmaÂndo ComÂpetiÂtion, in whÂich the TN commando foÂrce won the championÂship trophy, she said that she was proud of the TaÂmil Nadu police, which was “endowed with unfeÂttered professional freedom in my government and have always risen to the challenges.”
