Salman Khan steals the show
The Mumbai Heroes vs Chennai Rhinos CCL match held at DY Patil stadium at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, was an exciting one, more so because of the presence of superstar Salman Khan. The South superstars from the Chennai Rhinos clearly dominated the Bollywood actors from the Mumbai Heroes team and were the clear winners. Mumbai however put up a good fight with Aftab Shivdasani enthralling the home crowd with a couple of fours and sixes. Aftab’s fiancé Nin Dusanj was seated with the rest of the team and cheered for him.
Mumbai Heroes owner Sohail Khan kept cheering his team and at times even let out some expletives when they dropped catches, lost wickets or batted badly. He was on his feet all the team watching his boys with an eagle’s eye.
While the match began at 3 pm, the most exciting part came at 4.30 pm when Salman entered with Jai Ho heroine Daisy Shah. He sported a white stubble and wore a white shirt that had the Mumbai Heroes logo on it, while Daisy wore a bright blue top and jeans. The match came to a standstill with a little break in between as fans chanted SalÂman’s name. The title track of his film Jai Ho played in the stadium and Daisy was seen showing off some dance moves. The superstar patiently posed for pictures with police officials as well as media persons and made no bones about the fact that he did plan to promote Jai Ho, that released a day before the match.
Bigg Boss contestants Armaan Kohli (who is now part of Mumbai Heroes) and Sangram Singh were seen chatting with Salman. Salman was impressed by Aftab’s performance and was heard praising his effort.
Later, Honey Singh performed in between the match, with an excited Salman Khan, Daisy Shah and Huma Qureshi taking to the stage to dance on his hit song Party Yun Hi Chalegi.
Among the other pretty ladies who were cheering for the boys was Huma Qureshi, Barkha Bisht, who was there to support husband Indraneil Sengupta, Shruti Haasan who looked gorgeous in an orange outfit and South star Trisha, who was spotted clicking selfies.
