Bangalore: Various actors, directors and pro-Kannada associations have extended their support to the bandh called by the Kannada film industry on Monday to oppose the dubbing of other language films to Kannada. A rally, led by actor Shivarajkumar, will be taken out from SBM Circle to Central College where a convention will be held.
Addressing a press conference, actor Shivarajkumar said, “I urge Kannadigas to understand the intensity of the situation and support us. Since my father’s (Rajkumar) days, we have opposed dubbing. We hope our protest tomorrow will mark the end of dubbing.”
Veteran actors like Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Ravichandran, Jaggesh and others were present during the occasion.
