Has Varun modeled his herogiri act on the lines of Salman Khan? That’s the first thought that comes to mind after seeing the promo of Main Tera Hero.
“Varun has a boyish charm that was Salman Khan’s forte, especially in his earlier years in Bollywood. Looking at Varun in Main Tera Hero, it’s obvious that the young actor has studied Salman Khan and adopted his mannerisms and body language,” an observer comments.
The way he shows his six pack abs, when he woos his heroines (Ileana D’ Cruz, Nargis Fakhri) simultaneously or the way he pokes fun at himself for an overall bratty persona that he brings to the fore, Varun is recreating memories of the Salman Khan of yore.
But some argue that credit here must be given to Varun’s dad and director of Main Tera Hero — David Dhawan.
Salman too brought his bratty side to the fore in films like Judwaa, Biwi No. 1, Partner, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge amongst others and many of these films were directed by Davidji.
