A cracker of a contest a thriller of a game, India score 314 to tie the 3rd ODI and keep the prospect of series loss at bay. Jadeja's knock was aided by some help from Ashwin and Dhoni.
India 286/9 , with one wicket remaining, India needs 29 from 13 balls.
India after 46 overs 276/8: From the remaining 24 deliveries India needs 39 runs.
India are 271/7 at the moment, Ashwin fights with immense resolve but will it be enough? Ashwin scored 65 before falling while attempting a mighty heave.
India after 40 overs 231/6: Ashwin and Jadeja fighting it out. Ashwin batting on 51, Jadeja on 20.
Dhoni departs after a fighting 50. The smashed the previous delivery from Anderson for six, goes for another big hit but Tim Southee takes a blinder to send him back.
India after 35 overs 177/5: With Dhoni being the only recognized batsmen remaining India has very little chance from here on to win this one. Dhoni is on 44 with Ashwin on 19.

India after 9.2 overs 66/1: Shikar Dhawan departs after making a quick 28. Corey Anderson gets the break courtesy a splendid diving catch from Guptill.
India after 5 overs 25/0: Rohit Sharma batting on 12 and Shikar Dhawan batting on 13. New Zealand have kept it tight so far, no easy pickings for the Indian openers.
India begin the all important chase with the left-right comination of Sharma and Dhawan.

New Zealand after 50 overs 314/10: At the end of the first half of the match NZ score an imposing 314, helped by some wonderful abtting at the top from Guptill and Williamson.
New Zealand after 44 overs 280/8: As wickets fall in a heap, NZ seems to be pressing the self-destruct button.
New Zealand after 40 overs 233/5: Two new batsmen at the crease, Taylor batting on 13 and Ronchi on 1.
Martin Guptill back in the hut after making 111, as Guptill goes for a big one of Ravindra Jadeja's bowling Ajinkya takes a well judged catch on the ropes. India spinners have certainly turned the tables at the moment.

New Zealand after 33.5 overs 198/3: After two quick wickets India back in the game. As Ashwin picks the important wicket of Anderson, who goes for a big hit and misses to see the ball hit the stumps.

Finally a wicket, it's Shami again, Kane Williamson departs after making 65, he squandered away another chance to make a good hundred. That brings danger man Corey Anderson into the fold.
New Zealand after 31 overs 180/1: Guptill batting on 80 and Williamson on 63. Runs coming thick and fast for New Zealand as the pair heads towards a record partnership.
With both batsmen looking quite comfortable, having scored 50+ runs already it looks like a long hard day for the Indian bowlers. Kane Williamson gets his fifty in 62 balls.

New Zealand after 10 overs 57/1: Guptill batting on 17 and Kane Williamson on 5. The run rate has come down a bit but the two are doing a great job in consolidating the position.
New Zealand after 5 overs 37/1: Jesse Ryder was the first to go again after some flowing drives on the off side. After scoring 20 from just 12 balls, his knock was laced with four hits to the fence.
With their campaign in tatters after two consecutive defeats, India need to regroup quickly and find the right combination as they go into a must-win match against a gutsy New Zealand. Down 0-2 and having lost the world no. 1 tag, the Indian team would be desperate to make amends and stamp their authority in what will be their last chance to make a come back into the five-match series.
If Dhoni's men fail to win here tomorrow, it will be their second consecutive series loss after South Africa outside the subcontinent.
The visitors lost the first ODI at Napier by 24 runs and then went down in the second one-dayer by 15 runs (D/L method) at Hamilton, which dethroned India from the number one ranking in the ODIs.
