Lok Satta Party: Govt must allow overseas Indians to donate funds
Hyderabad: Lok Satta Party on Friday said that the government had blocked legitimate donations which Indians living abroad had made towards the outfit even as it alleged that nothing was being done to check the flow of black money to the traditional parties.
More than a 1,000 volunteers have joined the party in the last five days while Rs 30 lakh had been received by way of online donations from Indians across the globe, LSP said in a release here.

The fledgling party, led by bureaucrat-turned-politician Jayaprakash Narayan, however, clarified that its website has not been blocked by the government.
"The tremendous flow of legitimate funds from Indian citizens abroad has resulted in the government unlawfully and abruptly shutting donation channels (of LSP), while continuing to turn a blind eye to the copious flow of black money to traditional parties," it said.
"Supporters are looking for alternative ways to contribute and support the party. We demand that this gross injustice (blocking of donation channels) be immediately redressed by the government," the release added.
