Seema MLAs fail in duty: Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy

Byreddy laments that the leaders had no concern about the backward areas of Rayalaseema.

Anantapur: Continuing tirade against the representatives from Rayalaseema region over their failure to highlight long-pending problems, the Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samiti founder Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy accused the MLAs for confined to their own development and not in a position to spell out the backwardness of the area.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Byreddy lamented that main leaders of all the three parties including Congress, Telugu Desam and YSR Congress, had no concern about the backward areas of Rayalaseema though leaders from other areas were putting many issues before the Assembly over the debate on the Telangana bill.

“Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu along with the MLAs had no word on demands of Rayalaseema region in the debate,” he said

Recalling the injustice meted out to the region by various successive governments and earlier chief ministers hailed from the region, the RPS leader blamed that they just being used for political mileage instead of making efforts towards development of region.

He opined that people would teach a lesson in the coming polls for the candidates all the three parties.

The RPS is going to field candidates from all parts of Rayalaseema for both Assembly and Lok Sabha in the forthcoming elections, Byreddy said.

Earlier, Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy took part in the public meeting at Uravakonda in the district.
