Kejriwal is a mad Chief Minister, says Shinde
Mumbai/New Delhi: Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Wednesday called Arvind Kejriwal a “Yeda Mukhyamantri” (mad Chief Minister) over his street protests and ally NCP too joined in the direct attack saying “CM in Delhi” stands for ‘Chosen Madness.’
Kejriwal continued to be at the receiving end for his two-day dharna which was called off on Tuesday night with the BJP raising the pitch dubbing him and his ministerial and party colleagues as “unguided missiles” and saying they should behave responsibly as they are now bound by the Constitution.
“When I was in Kher-wadi police station in Mumbai’s Bandra area, I did not get leave bec-ause there were Sena riots. Similarly, yesterday in Delhi, because of a ‘Yeda mukhyamantri' (Mad chief minister) sitting there (on dharna), I had to cancel the leave of policemen,” Shinde, who was targeted repeatedly by Kejriwal, said. He, however, did not name the Chief Minister.
Feigning ignorance of the matter, Congress declined to comment on Shinde’s remarks even as it praised the Union home minister for being a “very mature” leader.
Kejriwal had alleged that Shinde was corrupt and inefficient and dared him to evict him from the dharna site.

Bharti barb strains ties with Congress
New Delhi: A Ugandan woman, who identified Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti as the man who allegedly led a mob which assaulted women in a midnight “raid” last week, recorded her statement in camera under Section 164 CrPC, which is admissible in court. The statement has now been given to the police in a sealed cover and will be opened only during the trial.
The fragile AAP-Con-gress alliance in Delhi also seems to be strained as Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Lovely has sought time from lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung, demanding action against Bharti.
Several AAP members and leaders are said to be upset with Bharti, who earlier stoked a controversy by seeking a meeting of Delhi judges and was involved in talking to a witness he was cross-examining as a lawyer.
He was involved in a row with the police last week when they refused to raid an alleged drug-prostitution racket, after which he allegedly led his supporters in forcing the women to give urine samples.
On another occasion, he embarrassed the AAP by using abusive and derogatory language against senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley and top lawyer Harish Salve.
The AAP leadership has reportedly warned the minister not to make any more derogatory remarks and clearly told that such things would not be tolerated in future.
