Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader V.S. Achuthanandan has once again described slain RMP leader T.P. Chandrashekharan as a valiant communist who fought against right deviation.
In an interview which is part of a documentary on Chandrashekharn, the opposition leader said the RMP leader was a virtuous leader who stood for communist ideals. Those who brutally hacked him to death should be exposed before the public, the veteran leader said indirectly referring to his party's reluctance to make public the findings of the internal probe into the murder.
Achuthanandan also demanded a detailed probe into the nexus between gold smuggler Faiz and the ‘killer gang’ involved in TPC murder. The fact that Faiz had visited the accused in Kozhikode jail calls for a detailed investigations to expose the link between them.
The opposition leader’s statement is likely to trigger a fresh round of controversy in the CPM as it comes just a day ahead of the special court verdict in TPC murder case.
