AAP stands for Anarchist Aadmi Party, says Venkaiah Naidu
New Delhi: BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu called the AAP's government an anarchist government for its ongoing protest in the national capital and added that it was actually an Anarchist Aadmi party.
"The recent actions of the AAP and its government are proving that it can only agitate, but it cannot mitigate the sufferings of the people and it is not capable of governance. It is an Anarchist Aadmi party and not an Aam Aadmi party. That has been proved beyond doubt," he said.
Venkaiah also denounced Kejriwal for supporting Delhi law minister, Somnath Bharti. "The day, when AAP took the support of the Congress, its credibility has gone down. With the AAP President supporting his colleague who was instrumental in harassing the foreign women, and also took law into his hands and became responsible for derogation of India''s image internationally. His image has further eroded and lost his credibility," he said.
The Kejriwal-led AAP protest entered its second day on Tuesday, and neither of the two major political parties-the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are in favour of its continuance.
The AAP protests are taking place in the national capital despite heavy rains Commuters have been the hardest hit in central Delhi due to the AAP protest Over 4000 police personnel have secured the protest area, and Rapid Action Force (RAF) teams are on standby duty.
Kejriwal has threatened to disrupt this year's Republic Day parade on grounds that both the BJP and the Congress, besides a section of the media are misleading the people.
