If the look in Fahadh’s chocolate brown eyes are a bit too intense or the lovely blush spreading across Nazriya Nazim’s cheeks need no makeup to blossom her looks when the two are working with each other for Anjali Menon’s film L For Love, which is currently being shot in Bengaluru, blame it on love. It came as a bolt from the blue for fans and audiences across the state when Fahadh’s father announced the impending nuptials between Fahadh and NazÂriya, to be held in August.
While the news has caught everyone off guard, most in the film industry seem to be aware of this development.
It was only a few months ago that Fahadh had declared his love for AndrÂea JereÂmiah but it did not work out. The Fahadh-Nazriya match is a completely arranged one, assert the parents on both sides. Fazil says, “The marriage will be in August. A marriage is not a personal affair and it needs to be given due importance, so the date will be fixed later. I did not want any incorrect news spreading through the social media, which is why I decided to announce the news myself. This is a completely arranged marriage and I have known Nazriya since she was a child. In fact, I did the ‘switch on’ for her film Maad Dad, when she made her debut as the heroine. Some days back, I talked to Nazriya’s parents. I will never interfere in Fahadh’s career decisions, but marriage is a proud privilege of the parents.”
Nazriya took to her social networking site to announce: “I have got engaged to Fahadh Faasil. Thanks for all your wishes.” Fahadh’s brother Farhaan added on his social site: “So yeah my brother is getting hitched!!! Welcome to one big crazy family Nazriya !! Congrats and love to both of you !! So happy.” (sic)
Nazriya’s father revealed that the two families met at Fahadh’s home in Alapuzha and decided to take it forward. Nazriya has completed her film commitments for the year said her father. Both Nazriya’s father and Fazil said that the decision of Nazriya to continue her career would rest with the couple.
Meanwhile, sources say that it was Fahadh who expressed an interest and told his father for a formal proposal to be sent across. It seems like a perfect fairytale ending to an ‘arranged’ love story!
