Palak Muchhal who is basking in the success of 'Chahoon Main Ya Na' from 'Aashiqui 2', has followed it up with another hit, 'Photocopy' from 'Jai Ho'. About the response to the song, Palak says, “I have been known for melodic numbers like 'Chahoon Main Ya Na', so people were surprised when they heard me sing this peppy number. I am still getting calls from my friends and from the music industry saying, ‘we never thought you could sing like this too’.”
This isn’t the first time Palak is singing for a Salman Khan-starrer. She had earlier sung 'Lapata' for 'Ek Tha Tiger' and credits the actor for getting her noticed in the industry. “I bagged ETT only because of Salman sir, who recommended my name to Aditya Chopra. It was he again who suggested my name to Sajid-Wajidji for 'Jai Ho',” reveals the 21-year-old.
Other upcoming projects that Palak has lent her voice for include, 'Traffic', 'Ishqeria' and 'Dishkiyaaoon' to name a few. She says, “2013 has been a fantastic year for me as far as playback singing is concerned. I am looking forward to 2014 and really hope that people love the numbers I have sung.”
