The controversial Bollywood actress of 'Jai Bole So Nihal' fame has been roped in for a trilingual made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, which is titled 'Amavasai' in K’town. She will be romancing Jai Akash for this film which is in the thriller genre. Rakesh Sawant, who, sources say, is the brother of B’town item girl Rakhi Sawant, is wielding the megaphone. Titled 'Amavasya' in Tollywood, the film features Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jeeva Shravan, Mumaith Khan, Sonia, Robin and others.
“It is a supernatural thriller on the lines of Arundhathi and Kanchana,” says the director. While P.V.Prasad has penned the dialogues, Syed Ahmed has composed the music.
