No netagiri for Mrs Nene
In her upcoming film 'Gulab Gang', Madhuri Dixit Nene’s character is embroiled in politics. In real life, however, the actress has said that she doesn’t have any political ambitions whatsoever. While other B-towners like Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and Jaya Prada may have taken the political route, Madhuri — who recently made her Bollywood comeback with 'Dedh Ishqiya' — feels she isn’t suited for the role.
“I will not join politics, though there is a lot happening (in the field) right now. That is one place I don’t think I ever will be — politics,” Madhuri said, when asked if she would consider a shift in career.
In the meantime, Madhuri has been receiving lots of praise for her daring stunts seen in the trailer of 'Gulab Gang', with fans giving her the moniker of “Lady Dabangg”. “I don’t know about Lady Dabangg, but if our film does as well as 'Dabangg', that would be great,” she said, laughing. “In fact even if we get just 50 to 80 per cent of 'Dabangg’s box office collections, it would be fine with us!”
