Sanjay Jagdale has refuted reports of Sachin Tendulkar being approached by Sydney Thunder to play in Australia’s Big Bash league.

Mumbai: Former BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale has refuted reports of Sachin Tendulkar being approached by Sydney Thunder to play in Australia’s Big Bash league. The Australian media recently reported that the BBL team almost snapped up Sachin for the ongoing edition. “The offer never came to us (BCCI) during my tenure,” said Jagdale.
According to Andrew Jones, CEO of the New South Wales Cricket Association, no offer was made to Sachin. “I can confirm that the possibility of Sachin playing for the Thunder has certainly not been discussed at any stage during my tenure which commenced on July 1, 2013,” he said.
“I therefore have no knowledge of, or comment to make on those discussions which could have occurred before my tenure,” he added.
