Chennai: In a counter-move to Aam Admi Party state convener Christina Samy’s complaint on January 13 against a splinter group, K.P. Narayanan, who claimed to be the Chennai district convener on Saturday approached the police commissioner’s office stating the complaint filed by Christina was incorrect and alleged cheating and non-transparency in the party.

In a written complaint, the group stated that the party had been functioning from rented premises at Aminjikarai for the past 18 months, when Christina Samy shifted the office to Kilpauk all of a sudden.

“The office at Aminjikarai was under contract for two years, with a rental amount of Rs 18,000,” he said. However without paying rent for six months and without any prior notice, the office has been shifted and the keys and original contract were not returned, it was alleged.

Narayanan in his complaint alleged that his position as Chennai district convener and that of his associates were dissolved after they raised questions about trusts — Areds and Swathi — being run by Christina and claimed to be worth Rs 200 crore.
