Stay fit to feel light and confident

Madhur Bhandarkar
I love the idea of being fit and disciplined by follwing a regular regime. I’ve no qualms about shaping up to look good either on camera or in public. Having said that, I must reiterate that am no gym-crazy person who needs to pump in iron every day to flex up muscle or get on to shape. But again, no harm done to lose some love-handles and feel a lot lighter and more confident!
Since I’ve a tall frame and a broad build, whenever I shed a few kilos, it shows. My friends and family can easily spot the difference and compliment me. It’s true that I manage to hit the gym only once in a while, courtesy my hectic time-table. Yet when I work out, I mostly focus on the cardio under the strict vigilance of my trainer. On the diet-front, I am completely sold on home-cooked Indian food. So being a typical ghar ka khana person, I love my plate of plain dal chawal. I’m not demanding or picky, when it comes to eating. As far as non-veg food is concerned, give me any dish cooked with meat and fish, I’ll finish it off in no time. That’s my bet.
