Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hug it out, again
Shah Rukh and Salman’s cold war has been a thorn in Bollywood’s side for long. So when the two hugged last year during an Iftaar party, it had sent the media and the fans into frenzy.
Unfortunately, it was a false alarm and what was hyped as big news turned out to be mere eyewash.
A similar incident took place on Thursday, when SRK ran into Salman at the Producers Guild Awards. “Salman, who was anchoring the show, met Shah Rukh before he went on the stage to receive an award for 'Chennai Express'. Not only did Salman sing his praises, he even asked SRK to says a few things about 'Jai Ho'. SRK obliged and spoke highly of Salman and about the upcoming film,” says a witness.
This was also the first time in a long while that the two actors were seen having a conversation on stage in front of the entire film fraternity.
While the industry rejoiced at the Khans’ brotherly act, there was also speculation that the bonhomie could be just for the cameras.
The source adds, “Backstage, Salman told SRK that he was highly impressed with the box office collection of 'Chennai Express' and was happy that it won so many awards. SRK returned the compliment with equal love and warmth. SRK announced to the fraternity about his pride in getting the award in his friend Salman’s presence and requested them to watch 'Jai Ho'.”
Perhaps, the two have finally decided to bury the hatchet and start the New Year on a fresh note.
