Hyderabad: Autorickshaw drivers in the city have threatened to go on strike from Friday midnight protesting the hike in traffic violation fines and demanding an increase in minimum fares.
AITUC union leaders said about 16 unions would participate in the strike, resulting in all autorickshaws going off the roads.
The drivers want the minimum fares to be hiked from Rs 16 to Rs 25 and the fare per km to RS 13.
In all, the union leaders have listed 11 demands. A protest meet will also be held on Friday.
