'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' leads Filmfare with 9 nominations

Here's a list of all the Filmfare 2014 nominations.

Mumbai, Jan 16: Coming-of-age romantic comedy 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is leading in the nominations at the 59th Filmfare Awards with 9 nods including best film, best director for Ayaan Mukerji and best actor for Ranbir Kapoor.

'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is closely followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', which has landed seven nominations over all, including best film.

Bhansali has been nominated in the best director and best music director category.

The film's male lead Ranveer Singh has got a best actor nomination.

Deepika Padukone, who has had a stupendous film year in 2013, has bagged a nomination in the best actress category for her role of a Gujarati damsel in 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela'.

Farhan Akhtar's portrayal of athlete Milkha Singh' in 'Bhaag Milka Bhaag' has won him a nomination in the best actor category alongwith a nod each for director Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra and the film.

Divya Dutta, who played Milkha's sister in the films has also bagged a nomination the best supporting actress category.

Besides 'Bhaag Milka Bhaag', Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Chennai Express' and Anand L Rai's 'Raanjhanaa' also have six nominations each.

'Chennai Express' has been nominated in the best film, best director (Rohit Shetty), best actor (SRK) and best actress (Deepika) categories.

Banaras-based romantic drama 'Raanjhanaa' has landed a nod each for best film, best director, best actress (Sonam Kapoor), best actor (Dhanush), best supporting actress (Swara Bhaskar) and best music director AR Rahman.

Sonakshi Sinha for 'Lootera', Shraddha Kapoor for 'Aashiqui 2' and Parineeti Chopra for 'Shudh Desi Romance' have been given a nod each in the best actress category.

Hrithik Roshan for his superhero avatar in 'Krrish 3' has been nominated in the best actor category.

Abhishek Kapoor has got a nomination in the best director category for his friendship saga 'Kai Po Che'. The film over all has four nominations including best supporting actor for Rajkumar Rao, who will have to battle it out with Aditya Roy Kapoor (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani), Anupam Kher (Special 26), Nawazuddin Siddiqui (The Lunchbox), Pankaj Kapur (Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola) and Vivek Oberoi (Krrish 3).

Other nominees in the best supporting actress category are Kalki Koechlin for 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', Konkona Sen Sharma for 'Ek Thi Daayan' and Supriya Pathak for 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela'.

Mohit Suri's 'Aashiqui 2' dominated the musical categories with five nods including best music director for Ankit Tiwari, Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly, best female playback singer for Shreya Ghoshal, best lyrics for Mithoon, a nod each for Ankit Tiwari and Arijit Singh for best male playback singer.

Singer-turned-actress Monali Thakur has also bagged a nomination in the best female playback singer category for the melodious 'Sawar loon' from 'Lootera'.
