Jaipal Reddy faces MLAs’ flak

YSRC is preventing discussion on Telangana Bill, say MLAs.

Nellore: Nellore rural legislator Anam Vivekananda Reddy came down heavily against Union minister Jaipal Reddy for his recent adverse comments against the people’s representatives of Seemandhra. He said that the comments do not suit Jaipal Reddy.

He was taking part in a protest against division of state organised by Samaikya Andhra Parirakshana Samiti (SAPS) at A.C. Centre here on Wednesday. The members burnt the copies of AP Reorganisation Bill as well as the effigy of Jaipal Reddy on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Vivekananda Reddy said that public had no role in Telangana agitation unlike in Seemandhra agitation and they took part in the stir because of threat from KCR. He said that the Seemandhra agitation has transformed as a major agitation under the leadership of AP NGOs’ Association president Ashok Babu.

He maintained that the 2014 elections will take place in combined state and state will remain united for two more years. He condemned the statement of the Congress MP from Telangana over gunning down the helicopter of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Nellore town legislator M. Sreedharkrishna Reddy also lashed at Jaipal Reddy for his remarks against Seemandhra leaders. He said that it is not right for a senior leader like Jaipal Reddy to make such comments.

He called upon all the political parties to get ready for a joint agitation beyond political affiliations to keep the state united. He alleged that YSR Congress was preventing discussion on T-Bill under the pretext of Samaikyandhra.

“It is possible to make the high command to know our concerns and demands if there is a debate on the Bill. It is a major loss for us if we send back the Bill without any discussion,” Reddy observed.

Referring to Telangana leaders’ allegations that Andhra people are earning in Hyderabad, Sreedharkrishna Reddy said that Seemandhra people are spending the rupee they earned in Seemandhra at Hyderabad and not vice-versa.
