231 test centres for VROs, VRAs
Karimanagar: As many as 231 centres would be set up in five revenue divisions of Karimnagar district for conducting written test to select village revenue officers (VRO) and village revenue assistants (VRA), according to district revenue officer K. Krishna Reddy.
He informed this to lands administration principal commissioner I. V. R. Krishna Rao, who held a video conference from Hyderabad, over verification of the applications and arrangements for the tests on Wednesday.
He told the commissioner that 231 centres were being readied in Karimnagar, Jagtial, Sircilla, Peddapalli, Manthani divisions to hold the test on Feb. 2.
Krishna Rao said 2,001 applications were rejected for not affixing photographs in prescribed format, and that 94,823 were accepted, totting up to 96,824 applications for 83 VRO and 83 VRA posts.
While 91,801 candidates applied for the VRO posts, 3,067 were received for VRA posts. In addition, 1,956 candidates applied for both posts. Krishna Rao advised the candidates, who could not download their hall tickets from internet, to submit 2 passport photos duly signed by a gazetted officer to invigilator of the centre.
