BFC looks for a positive start

Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC will look get their maiden Federation Cup campaign off to a pos­i­­­­t­ive start when they go to b­attle with Sporting Clube de Goa at the Manjeri Dis­t­r­ict Sports Complex , in M­alappuram, on Wednesd­a­y.

The two teams have met just once which ended in a goalless draw and Sporting lies just three points away from BFC at the top of the I-League table.

In skipper Sunil Chhetri, Bengaluru have the League’s highest scorer while strike partner Sean Rooney too has been among the goals. Sporting too have their own among the top scorers list in Boimah Karpeh (7) and midfielder Ogba Kalu (7).

With the strike force on display, it will be an interesting viewing to see how the defence’s shapes up.
