Congress ridicules AAP, Delhi government

Congress says AAP is now "slightly confused", suggesting that there was difference in AAP's practice and performance.

New Delhi: Congress on Wednesday ridiculed AAP and its government over a host of issues ranging from the rape of a Danish woman to the controversy surrounding a minister.

"They won't have any one (minister) left after two-three months," Congress spokesman Sandeep Dikshit told reporters when asked if Law Minister Somnath Bharti, indicted recently in a case of "tampering with evidence", should resign.
He said AAP had been in the habit of demanding resignations from others in the past at the slightest instance but was now "slightly confused", suggesting that there was difference in AAP's practice and performance.
On the issue of rape of a Danish woman in Delhi, he wondered as to how the Kejriwal government will deal with the serious matter as it was in the "Helpline and SMS decision mode".
At another point, Dikshit dubbed AAP as a "group of people with contradictory ideas".
He said this when he was told that a JNU professor having controversial views on Kashmir has joined AAP.
Dikshit recalled that AAP leader Prashant Bhushan too has made contentious remarks on the Kashmir issue.
Besides, he said that Medha Patkar, who holds dissimilar views on certain matters has also joined AAP.
