Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by two minor boys at Suraram village in the neighbouring Ranga Reddy district, police said on Tuesday.

According to Dundigal police, the boys forcibly took the victim to an isolated place, when she was going home Monday evening and allegedly raped her there.

Following a complaint, a case was registered under the Nirbhaya Act, they said adding a hunt has been launched to nab the accused and further investigation was underway to ascertain if one more person was involved in the crime.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, an intermediate first-year student was allegedly raped by two teenagers (aged around 17) with the assistance of one man at Bonguluru Gate under Vanasthalipuram police station limits here on December 21.

Though the incident took place last month, a complaint was lodged in this regard by the victim's parents only on Monday when she informed them about the incident, a police officer said.

"No one has been arrested so far as the accused were absconding," he added.
