Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh girl Nikhat Zareen has entered the final of the third Nations Cup international women’s boxing tournament at Novi Sad in Serbia on Sunday.
In the junior women’s 51kg category, Nikhat booked her spot in the final by defeating Paltceva Ekaterina of Russia 3-0 in the semifinals.
She is now assured of a silver medal. This will be Nikhat’s second silver on the world stage in four months, after her exploits at the junior women’s world boxing championships in September.
