Chennai: Santhome HSS were crowned the champions of the junior Super Kings inter-school T20 tournament on Saturday. They beat St. Bede’s AIHSS by eight wickets in the final. Batting first, St. Bede’s could muster only 118 runs with M.S. Washington Sundar emerging the top-scorer with 34 runs.
P. Ajith Kumar (3/21) was the pick of the bowlers and he received good support from P.S. Rahul (2/11) and Y. Surya (2/8). Set to chase a modest total, Santhome raced to their target with more than one over to spare .They rode on K. Vishal Vaidya’s unbeaten 61. Vishal was adjudged the player of the final.
