Staff get bonus and incentive
Rs 11 crore package for transport and milk cooperative staff.
Chennai: Chief minister J. JayalÂaÂliÂthaa continues to shower bonus and incentives on government and PSU staff.
On Saturday along with Pongal benefits she allocated a Rs 11 crore package as inÂÂcÂentive for transport and milk co-operative society woÂrkers.
The incentives will benefit 1.95 lakh workers in the state, a release from the stÂate secretariat said. In a statement here, she said employees working in vaÂrioÂus departments, like trÂansport, civil supplies corporation and milk and cooÂperative units, would get the incentive and the move would improve their moÂrale and workmanship.
The government will give incentives to the tune of Rs 11.49 crore to 1.95 lakh emÂployees and the state wiÂll continue to implement laÂbour welfare initiatives, she said.
According to the release, employees of the state trÂansport corporation, trÂaÂnsport development fund corporation and PalÂlavan transport advisory commiÂttee will be given an achiÂevement incentive, ranging from Rs 85 to Rs 625.
Similarly, employees of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies CorpÂoration will get Rs 350 each, while those working in miÂlk societies would get incÂentives ranging from Rs 145 to Rs 1,000.
The incentive announcement will cover 17 district milk co-operative society workers benefiting about 25,Â000 employees with Rs 2.64 crore having been eaÂrmÂaÂrked, the release said. PSU employees of Group A and B, who mostly do not get incentives, will also beÂnÂefit under the CM’s annoÂuÂncÂement, the release added.
