Hyderabad: Contrary to the expectations of the Chief Minister’s camp and majority of Seemandhra legislators who still believe there will be clause-wise voting and rejection of the Telangana Bill by division, AP Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar, in his observation to the House on Thursday, did not explicitly state the same.

When YSR Congress floor leader Y.S. Vijayalakshmi sought the Speaker’s response on voting on the Telangana Bill, Mr Manohar observed that “members should raise their concerns on various aspects in the Bill and express views on all issues; after the debate is over, it is for the members to use whatever options they can”. The Speaker did not mention anything about the possibility of clause-wise voting.
According to sources in the Speaker’s office, there would most probably be no second and third reading options which entailed voting, for the Telangana Bill.
