Sony Six bags broadcast rights for India's New Zealand tour

Sony Six has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights for the Indian cricket team's Test and ODI series against New Zealand.

Mumbai: Sports and entertainment channel Sony Six has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights for the Indian cricket team's Test and ODI series against New Zealand beginning January 19.

The 30-day tour starts with five ODIs, followed by two Test matches.

Prasana Krishnan, Business Head SONY SIX, said, "We are delighted to have this series come our way early into the New Year. Through this acquisition we will give our viewers direct action to one of the most awaited cricket series in 2014. Both New Zealand and India play exciting brand of cricket and we are thrilled to be the exclusive partner to this promising series."
