2-day meet on Corporate Social Responsibility from today
Visakhapatnam: A two-day workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be held on January 8 and 9 in the city.
The workshop is being organised by the Global Gandhian Trusteeship and Corporate Responsibility Foundation, Noida, at the YMCA here.
This advanced training programmee is tailored for managers, practitioners, and others responsible for the organisations’ approach to Corporate Social Responsibility, human resource personnel and non-government organisations, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), students and all those interested in responsible business.
The programme is designed to help practitioners develop and implement an over reaching CSR strategy that not only reinforces core business practices, but also produces cost-effective, measurable results in any economic environment, informed organisers.
The CSR guidelines issued, both by the Department of Corporate Affairs and the Department of Public Enterprises, stress on the need for integrating CSR throughout the organistion.
All sections in the organisation need to be made aware of the Corporate Social Responsibility policies and programmes of the organisation.
Increased awareness among employees will help better implementation and greater and more active participation of employees across departments.
