It’s barely been a week since we welcomed 2014, and Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra has already broken her new year’s resolution. The actress was to attend an event at 8 pm on Monday night, to update the media about an upcoming award ceremony on January 24, which she will host along with her 'Barfi' co-star Ranbir Kapoor.
But when the clock had struck 10 pm and there was still no sign of her, members of the media decided to walk out.
That was when the PR machinery jumped into damage-control mode and coaxed everyone to stay back, with the following excuse, “Please do not panic. Priyanka’s driver has over shot the venue and gone ahead. So, she’s stuck in a traffic jam. She will reach any moment now.” When the glamorous star finally arrived, she apologised for her delay and added,
“I truly did make a resolution to never reach late anywhere this year, and try to arrive 10 minutes earlier. But as they say, resolutions are made to be broken…. Despite my wish to stick to my promise, God had this plan. And this is not the first time it’s happened, most of my new year resolutions end up getting broken.”
Priyanka might have a lot of strong points to her, but punctuality is not one of them.
