Anantapur: Revenue minister N. Raghuveera Reddy accused Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu of trying to forge alliance with the BJP, which was favouring state division.
Speaking to media at Madakasira, Raghuveera Reddy said that N.Chandrababu Naidu had no concern towards unity of state. “Naidu demanded package for Seemandhra instead of opposing decision of division and further trying to forge alliance with the BJP,” he said and added that BJP leaders had announced that party would split the state if voted to power.
Raghuveera Reddy had objected for accusing only Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Digvijay Singh and Sushilkumar Shinde in connection with the division issue. “Telugu Desam and BJP had given letters supporting the state division, but only three leaders of Congress being accused,” he observed.
The revenue minister had conducted a meeting with the Congress workers at Madakasira and hoped that the state would remain undivided. Referring to the Congress is facing critical situation, he called upon youth to play active role in strengthening the party. “Youth should be encouraged at all levels,” he said.
Finance minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy would launch ‘Project Ananta’ on Thursday. The Centre had sanctioned the innovative project with an estimate of Rs 7,676 crore to eradicate drought in the district.
Reddy recalled that many innovative programmes and projects were launched only during the Congress government. He hoped that people would bless the party at all levels in the coming polls. Madakasira MLA K. Sudhakar and MLC G. Thippeswamy participated.
